Quick Chocolate Cake
250g butter
1 ½ cup sugar
½ water
3 TS cocoa
pinch of salt
Combine these ingredients in a pot and put on the stove on medium heat. Stir gently until everything is combined and forms a shiny sauce. It doesn´t need to cook. Leave to cool and set aside half a cup of the liquid. Don’t try it – it’s so delicious you will eat the whole thing….never happened to me of course J
Preheat your oven to 170°C.
When your pot is big enough you can add the rest of the ingredients straight into it. If not, transfer into a bigger bowl. You don’t need a mixer just a whisk.
Add
4 eggs
2 cups of plain flour
optional
4 TS sour creme
1 cup of chocolate chips
Bake in a 26 cm diameter baking tin or a square (20cm x 30 cm) tin for around 35 minutes. The baking time can vary depending on your oven so check with a toothpick if the batter is fully baked.
